Corporate Manager of Stewardship, Oatey
Mr. Schmeida recently joined Oatey, a manufacturer of plumbing supplies in Cleveland, Ohio as the organization’s Corporate Manager of Stewardship, with sustainability, compliance, code and regulatory oversight across all of Oatey’s brands and operations. Prior to Oatey, he worked at Tremco in its Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing Division for ten years, beginning as a Technical Service Representative and leaving as the Division’s Director of Compliance & Sustainability. He has been a featured speaker and author on over three dozen occasions, including speaking at California DTSC on green chemistry, and has previously taught sustainability at The University of Akron. He is Chair of ASTC Committee E60 on Sustainability, former Chair of the Adhesive and Sealants Council’s Regulatory AffairsCommittee, Chair of PPFA’s Cements Committee, a member of SSPC 189.1 within ASHRAE, a member of the ASTM Built Environment Advisory Committee and active in nearly two dozen other organizations and/or committees at various levels.
