"The NGO Clean Production Action (CPA) has launched the first ecolabel for firefighting foams free of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs).
The GreenScreen certified label will identify foam products that do not contain the controversial substances, which have been the subject of action at both federal and state level due to environmental and health concerns. For instance, the December 2019 passage of the National Defense Authorization Act will phase out the use of PFASs in military firefighting foams"
