Peeking at hazard data for silver and nanosilver. Scientists and people concerned about toxic chemicals in products, worked together through the organization Coming Clean – an environmental health and justice collaborative – to address concerns about the known and unknown hazards of nanomaterials. GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals (GreenScreen) was adapted to quickly and easily pull together the publicly-available science on hazards of different nanosilver materials, and identify critical gaps of information where hazards are not yet known.
