The Benefits of GreenScreen Certified® Firefighting Foam

GreenScreen Certified® Firefighting Foam: Class A Foam Concentrates, Class B Foam Concentrates, Class A Wetting Agents and Class A&B Wetting Agents is the first independent certification of firefighting products that do not use PFAS or other known chemicals of high concern. The Standard requires all chemicals within the foam be identified and assessed for compliance to Silver, Gold or Platinum standard. The final product is then laboratory tested to further ensure the absence of PFAS chemicals*.

We invite you to use your influence and purchasing power to prioritize the health of people and the planet by requiring GreenScreen Certified products and help convince other firefighting foam manufacturers to get certified.

“GreenScreen Certified makes it simpler for purchasers to identify safer firefighting foams by certifying that they meet rigorous environmental and health criteria. As more PFAS-free firefighting foams become available we need to ensure these alternative products are not equally hazardous as PFAS-containing foams to firefighting personnel or the environment.”
Jen Jackson, San Francisco Department of the Environment.
